Strong Roots: Youth Empowerment Conference

Strong Roots is a hands-on conference, designed to help youth build resilience, develop coping skills, and boost confidence. 

Through interactive activities and practical tools, participants will gain strategies to help them navigate life’s challenges.

Meet the Facilitators:

Melanie Gareau, BEd, MEd, Owner of Empower Me: Youth Coaching

Melanie is a former educator who’s recently stepped into her true passion: helping the next generation feel seen, valued, and ready to tackle life’s challenges. A self-proclaimed “imperfect mom,” wife, writer, and personal growth enthusiast, Melanie brings warmth, humor, and heart to her work. She believes every young person deserves a supportive cheerleader in their corner, and she’s here to be exactly that!

Kandace Korycki, RSW, BISW, Owner of Cradled Wellness

Kandace Korycki, a registered Social Worker with over 11 years of experience in Prince Albert, has worked with youth, adults, marginalized populations, and individuals with complex life stories. Understanding that seeking support can be challenging, she believes wellness should be a priority and approached holistically. Focused on supporting caregivers, parents, and children, she has opened her own space, Cradled Wellness, in Prince Albert.
